We’ve always planned for SCL to become a paid platform. This isn’t just a preference—it’s a must. We can’t make enough money from free users alone to support our setup: servers around the world, demo storage, 2D replays, backups, new features, plugin management, and more.

SCL has been free so far to grow fast and get your feedback. That’s helped us make sure it’s high quality before asking anyone to pay. We’ve kept it free longer than we first thought we would because getting it right matters to us. A free tier will still exist, but it’ll have limits on what you can do and how much you can use it.

🚀 The Goal of SCL

Since we’ve offered SCL for free, some might think we’re aiming to be a cheap tool. That’s not our plan. We want to take Counter-Strike 2 practice to a whole new level. We’re genuinely sorry about the lack of good tools out there for teams to get better, and we’ve got the skills and ideas to change that.

We’re a young company, so not everything we want to do is ready yet. Staying free this long has let us hear from you and figure out what to build next. SCL is a premium product—we won’t skimp on quality to keep costs low. Our focus is making it the best on the market, at a fair price that matches what it offers.
